An Open Letter
To: President Donald J. Trump
The White House, Washington D.C., USA Subject:
A Call for Support for the Liberation and the Recognition of Sindhudesh
Dear President Trump,
I hope this letter finds you as determined, in high spirits and in good health, as always. We, the people of Sindh, write to you with a heartfelt and urgent appeal concerning the grave situation in our homeland. Sindh, a land with a rich and ancient history stretching back thousands of years, once flourished as an independent, sovereign nation. The Indus Valley Civilization, which traces its roots to Sindh, laid the foundation for one of the world’s earliest and most influential cultures. The Sindhu civilization, throughout history, had its cultural and political influence, with territorial boundaries extending from Iran to the regions of Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Multan, and existed as a sovereign Sindh Country. Sadly, the situation has changed drastically since 1947, when Sindh was forcibly merged into Pakistan under the false guise of the So-called two-nation theory. This theory, which divides peoples based on religion, led to the creation of Pakistan, an artificial and Unnatural state that has imposed itself upon our land. Under the control of the Punjabi-dominated military elite, Sindh has been reduced to a colony, enduring political oppression, economic exploitation, and cultural erasure. The people of Sindh have been subjected to systematic marginalization, with control over our rivers, resources, and economy firmly in the hands of the Pakistani state, primarily driven by the interests of the Punjabi Nation, military and elite Class. The exploitation of Sindh’s natural resources has reached alarming levels, particularly the diversion of water from the Sindh River by Punjab, depriving our people of this essential lifeline. Furthermore, the state has been instrumental in erasing Sindhi culture and language, while distorting our history to further its agenda. In addition, the demographic landscape of Sindh has been altered through the systematic settlement of millions of people from outside the region, turning the indigenous Sindhi population into a minority in their homeland. Our lands, businesses, factories, and industries have been seized by the Pakistani military, and handed over to Punjabi capitalists, further impoverishing the Sindhi people. Beyond the political and economic domination, the Pakistani state has also fostered extremism and terrorism, with the active support of radical religious groups and terrorist organizations. The state has opened thousands of madrasas in Sindh, where children are indoctrinated into extremist ideologies, pushing them toward violence and jihad. This policy of radicalization has directly targeted our youth and the New Generation, pushing them into the grip of intolerance and extremism. The Sindhi society, which has long embraced secularism, democracy, and tolerance, is now under attack by these extremist forces, which are supported and funded by the Pakistani state. Moreover, the Pakistani military and paramilitary forces, such as the Rangers, have been deployed to suppress any dissent, harassing Sindhi youth, Students and political activists. Our political movements, which advocate for the rights and Freedom of the Sindhudesh, have faced brutal crackdowns. Political leaders and activists have been arrested, tortured, and held in secret detention centres and the secret torture cells of the agencies (ISI) For years. Many of them have been subjected to unimaginable torture, only to have their mutilated bodies discarded on the streets. These acts of state terrorism and violence against the Sindhi Nation and their political movements are a testament to the oppressive Fascist State that has been imposed upon us. In the face of this relentless repression, the people of Sindh continue to resist and struggle for their freedom. Our struggle is not only for political economic and human rights but for an independent sovereign motherland of Sindhudesh, away from the unnatural and unjust state of Pakistan. a state that has proven itself to be a failed, fascist entity driven by the interests of a single ethnic group, the Punjabis. As we continue our Struggle for National Independence, we humbly request the support of the United States of America. This nation has long stood for the values of democracy, self-determination, and human rights. We believe the United States can play a pivotal role in supporting our cause. If the U.S. were to support the liberation of Sindhudesh and the establishment of Sindhudesh as an independent nation, we, the people of Sindh, would be willing to offer the U.S. access to our strategic coastal islands for a naval base after our independence. We understand that the United States has consistently supported the struggles of oppressed peoples around the world, from the Kurds in the Middle East to the Somali land for people in Africa. Just as the U.S. has supported efforts to transform the natural right of self-determination of historic nations into the practical achievement of national independence, we request that the struggle for freedom of Sindhudesh be included in the broader international agenda for the liberation of Other nations. After Sindhudesh is established as an independent nation, We will provide the facility for a U.S. naval base within our maritime borders, while the maritime resources of Sindh, including oil, gas, and minerals, will remain the rightful property of Sindhudesh and the Sindhi people. We also remind you, Mr. President, that Pakistan is a failed state, politically, economically, and morally. In contrast, Sindh, with its thousands of years of civilization, culture, and history, has a legitimate right to exist as an independent nation. We are confident that the United States can play a crucial role in supporting our quest for National freedom. We urge you, Mr. President, and the American government, to stand with the people of Sindh in their struggle for National independence. We request your intervention and support in this critical moment of our struggle. The recognition and freedom of Sindhudesh and this Freedom of the Sindhi Nation would be a victory not just for our nation, but for all who believe in freedom, justice, and the protection of human dignity, respect, and the existence of Nations. We await your response and hope for your support in this pivotal moment for the future of Sindh ( Sindhudesh) and its people.
Sincerely,
Shafi Burfat
