In Sindh, political activists are being brutally murdered by Pakistan’s military and intelligence agencies. Pakistan is a ruthless, unnatural state built on an extremist, jihadist, and religiously fanatical ideology. Historic nations like Sindh have been forcibly subjugated and denied their basic rights. In Sindh, political activists struggling for national liberation are forcibly disappeared, subjected to inhuman torture, and their mutilated bodies are later dumped. Many are shot dead in broad daylight during peaceful protests. Despite these atrocities, the world remains silent. Yet, Sindh continues to sacrifice and resist for its freedom. Secular and pro-independence political parties and leaders struggling for Sindh’s freedom have been falsely labelled as terrorists by Pakistan’s state-controlled media and loyalist intellectuals. These parties, such as JSMM, have been banned and repressed. Meanwhile, extremist religious militants, jihadist killers, and terrorist organisations continue to receive full support, protection, and patronage from the Pakistani state and military. Fanatical terrorists like Hafiz Saeed and Masood Azhar are openly sheltered, and the world knows that Osama bin Laden was also given haven by Pakistan’s military in the past
Today in Sindh, the funeral prayer is being held for martyr Irfan Laghari, who was shot dead on May 20th by Pakistani intelligence agents disguised in police uniforms during a peaceful political protest in Moro, along with his fellow activist Zahid Laghari. Sindh is suffering under one of the worst forms of political repression, economic exploitation, and brutal slavery within Pakistan. The body of political activist Irfan Laghari was forcibly disappeared by intelligence agencies from the Civil Hospital in Hyderabad. It was only after intense protests by the Sindhi nation on political and social media platforms that his body was finally returned to his family yesterday. The sons of this land are being murdered daily by a fascist state. Pakistan is a fanatical, anti-human, and anti-peace state. Nations under its occupation continue to struggle for their freedom. This is the same Pakistan that, in 1971, committed the brutal genocide of 3 million Bengalis for demanding independence, yet the world, including the United Nations and international community, has still failed to hold it accountable. This silence has only emboldened Pakistan to continue its crimes against oppressed nations and intensify its fascist actions.
At this very moment, hundreds of Sindhi political leaders and activists are being illegally detained and tortured in secret cells run by Pakistani intelligence agencies. Among them are key leaders of JSMM such as Roheel Laghari, Ijaz Gaho, Sohail Bhatti, Pathan Khan Zehrani, and many others. Numerous political prisoners remain incarcerated in Sindh’s jails purely for their political beliefs. Pakistan is a brutal state whose actions amount to grave crimes against humanity. The silence of the international community in the face of these atrocities only encourages Pakistan to continue its terrorism, fanaticism, and criminal behaviour across the region. We therefore appeal to the world to re-evaluate its unethical and unjust support for this fanatical, terrorist, and anti-human state. It is time to stand with Sindhudesh and other historically subjugated nations in their just struggle for freedom from Pakistan’s nuclear-backed jihadist Unnatural State…. Shafi Burfat. Chairman JSMM
