A military alliance within an oppressed nation’s struggle is a partial necessity, whereas a political alliance among national movements is the primary and fundamental requirement for society. The unity of political parties in a national movement serves to organize society, strengthen political struggle, and enhance diplomatic representation on the international stage. It provides psychological, political, and practical stability to the movement, ensuring continuity and resilience.
While the unification of military organizations within a national struggle can be a morale-boosting and strategically significant step, it can never be a substitute for political unity. A political alliance is a hundred times more effective in driving forward the aspirations of a nation, as it consolidates the people’s collective political efforts and directs them toward tangible results.
A political alliance is a necessity for the entire nation and society, whereas a military alliance merely reinforces one aspect of the struggle. National leadership and political unity are crucial for amplifying the voice of the movement on the global stage and securing international support. Thus, political unity holds greater strategic importance, as it produces a cohesive, capable, and committed leadership for the national cause.
For instance, in the Baloch national movement, Sain Khair Bakhsh provided the Baloch people with a serious, composed, intellectual, and politically visionary leadership. One of the most vital roles of political leadership is to prevent societal fragmentation and to unify national aspirations into a multi-dimensional, effective struggle. A politically united movement instils hope, courage, and determination among the people, increasing their confidence in the cause of national liberation.
Political unity among parties is essential because it prevents the division of national strength and instead focuses collective power toward a common goal. This concentration of power strengthens the movement, maintains continuity, builds morale, and safeguards society from political disintegration and weakening.
When political parties fail to provide a united political leadership, societies suffer from psychological frustration and a sense of political stagnation. Sindh is currently experiencing such a situation, where the lack of political unity has resulted in a fragmented and weakened national struggle. Therefore, just as military organizations in Balochistan have formed alliances, it is equally necessary to establish a strong, unified political alliance that reinforces national principles, political strategies, and policymaking.
Since political unity is a fundamental need of any society, the struggle must progress not only in terms of military alliances but also in political unification. This ensures that the national movement and leadership align with historical interests and advance the broader objectives of the struggle following historical necessities and revolutionary principles.
It is a well-established revolutionary and intellectual principle that military alliances and armed organizations remain an essential part of the national cause, yet political parties, leadership, and political unity constitute the ultimate truth and the primary strength of any national struggle. It is the political leadership that carries the historical consciousness of the movement and leads the nation’s political and economic interests on both national and international fronts.
